International registration of a yacht under the Panamanian flag Service offer
Panama is often referred to as a paradise for yacht registration due to its open registry. Yachts can be registered under the Panamanian flag regardless of the owner's nationality or residency, whether the owner is an individual or a legal entity.
In order to determine whether a yacht can be registered under the Panamanian flag, it is necessary to submit a Construction Certificate for it with all specifications (size, weight, capacity, material, etc.).
The list of documents and the cost depend on the type of the boat. After receiving a reply from the Maritime Authority (Autoridad Maritima), we will provide an individual offer with a list of documents.
As a general rule, the registration of a Panama-flagged yacht requires the following documents:
Construction Certificate with all specifications;
Bill of Sale;
Certificate of Ownership;
Certificate of Cancellation of Previous Registration, apostilled;
Affidavit of Non-commercial Use, apostilled;
Power of attorney for registration of a boat in Panama, apostilled.
First, you should get a provisional navigation licence valid for 6 months and a provisional radio communication licence (valid for 3 months).
A permanent licence must then be obtained within 6 months and be renewed every two years.
