*Personal accounts can also be opened: for this purpose, besides the standard set of documents, a certificate of employment issued by a company incorporated in Kazakhstan must be provided.
Step 1 – pre-approval
At this step, we prepare and send to the bank a set of documents in electronic form and supporting information on the company’s activity, economic indicators, proposed counterparties and cash flows.
On average, the feedback is received within 5 – 10 workdays, unless the bank asks any additional questions.
At this step, the bank must be provided with the following documents as scan copies*:

The company’s documents must have an apostille attached to them and be notarized (the legalization must not be older than 6 months on the date when the documents are provided to the bank’s specialist).
For individuals in the structure of the company (directors / shareholders / beneficiaries):

Step 2 – collecting documents and meeting special requirements of the banks
To open an account with a Kazakhstani bank, it is necessary to obtain an IIN (individual identification number) for director (if they are not resident in Kazakhstan) and a BIN (business identification number) for the company. In some cases, banks may require the account signatory to obtain an IIN.

Step 3 – opening an account
After the bank’s office in Kazakhstan has been provided with all documents, opening an account normally takes 5 – 15 workdays (depending on the bank’s workload).
