GSL reference about the bank
Being professional intermediaries, we are limited in giving public opinion about some financial institutions. Please contact us directly to obtain more detailed feedback.
In the mid-1990s, National Westminster Group was rather active in its offshore operations and focused on international clientele. However, in 1997 the bank’s management decided to refocus on domestic market, and the bank started to sell its overseas subsidiaries, cutting off non-resident clients. Thus, the bank sold its Cyprus bank Lombard NatWest to the Alpha Group of Greece, and its Frankfurt branch – to Ost-West Handelsbank.
By the early 2000s our relationship with the bank had ended
