History

On April 30, 2000 Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Asia Limited was acquired by the above. On July 31, 2000 ANZ Grindlays Bank was acquired by the above. On October 1, 2001 Standard Chartered Bank Australia Limited became a branch of the above. In 2005 the Group acquired Korea First Bank. On September 1, 2008 American Express Bank Ltd merged into the above. On June 9, 2009 Standard Chartered Bank (Germany) GmbH became a branch of the above
