Corporate Tax Registration of a United Arab Emirates (UAE) Company. Service offer

The UAE introduced corporate tax in June 2023. Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 requires all taxpayers, including free zone entities, to register for corporate tax purposes and obtain a tax registration number.

Corporate tax registration deadlines

The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has issued Decision No. 3 of 22 February 2024, setting the deadlines by which taxpayers are required to register with the FTA and obtain their tax registration numbers (TRNs). Below is a table stating the corporate taxpayer registration deadlines:

List of required documents for corporate taxpayer registration

In order to get a tax registration number, the following documents need to be uploaded to the FTA’s website:

  • Certificate of incorporation;
  • Trade licence, including branch licences;
  • Emirates ID, passports of owners;
  • Emirates ID, passports of authorized signatories.

Penalties for late tax registration

A fine of AED 10 000 is imposed for late registration as a corporate taxpayer.
