The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is a separate territory of China with its own border, currency and jurisdiction. The Immigration Department of Hong Kong can issue an individual a statement on visiting the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Such a statement may be required, for example, by tax authorities of Hong Kong itself or other countries, since staying in the territory of Hong Kong affects the tax status of an individual due to the territorial tax system.
Documents are submitted completely in electronic form, and the certified statement is sent by registered mail to an address in Hong Kong.
